The Orangery

Ever since the Bernstorff Palace Gardens were laid out in the 1760s, there have been greenhouses in the gardens. There are three greenhouses still in existence which were all erected during the reign of Christian IX. The Orangery is the largest of the three.

The Orangery was originally meant to be a winery. Over the years, it has been called the tomato house, the rose house and the peach house. The Orangery is now hired out for events and parties.

Practical information

The Orangery can accommodate up to 50 people seated at tables with benches, and 80 people standing at receptions.

At the rear of the building, there is a small preparation kitchen equipped with a fridge. Service is not included in the hire of this facility. Toilets in the teahouse are available for use.

How do I go about hiring the Orangery?

Please e-mail chaya@chaya.dk or call +45 3965 8898 for further information and to book the facility.
