Frederiksberg Gardens and Søndermarken

Frederiksberg Gardens and Søndermarken are two romantic garden areas around Frederiksberg Palace.

The palace is owned by the Ministry of Defence and used by the Royal Military Academy. For more information on the palace, visit www.ho.dk

Frederiksberg Gardens are a very popular park with lakes, canals and various trees and shrubs. With their rich flora and fauna, the gardens never fail to make an impact on all the senses. The bulb area at the main entrance to Frederiksberg Gardens is a fabulous sight each spring with crocuses, scillas and daffodils. On a walk through the gardens one can also enjoy a number of surprises – e.g. the Chinese Pavilion and the Temple of Apis.

Søndermarken is a popular place to jog, walk the dog or just stroll through the hilly, wooded landscape.
